The art that is created today is how this time period will be viewed tomorrow. We want to make a difference in the lives of artists as well as a positive change in the world.
About
Colors of Humanity Art Gallery was created to help artists gain exposure and further their careers. With our monthly online juried art shows, artists can gain experience in competitions, increase much needed international exposure and recognition, boost their resumes, and have an opportunity to win prize money. These are all valuable elements in having a flourishing art career.
Each month has a different themed juried art show. The "Best of Show" winner will be featured that month. His or her artwork will be on the cover of that months show, it will be largely displayed with an article about them and their work. They will also receive prize money. Other winners will be featured, have similar recognition, and an opportunity to receive prize money. All accepted works will be displayed with the artist name, title, and a link back to their website, or email address if they do not have a website. All sales are conducted solely between the artist and the buyer. Colors of Humanity Art Gallery does not handle any part of the sale or collect any commission.
Colors of Humanity Art Gallery also recognizes that we have an opportunity to help mankind. Each month we will be donating 10% of all entry fees to a worthy organization. We hope that this small effort can improve the lives of others and make a difference in the world.
We are an solely an online gallery, but are based in south central Pennsylvania (USA).
A note from the creator
As an artist and art teacher, it saddens me when I see a lack of art opportunities, whether in the school system or community. It’s tough to gain the exposure and notoriety needed to be taken seriously for a career in art. I live in rural Pennsylvania, and one of our local art galleries had to close its doors, leaving a hole in our community. This is where I first began to show my work as a young teenager. Part of my motivation for creating this online gallery came from the closing of that gallery. The fact of being online opens different doors that the brick and mortar galleries aren’t privy to. Art that is appreciated in one area may not be as well received in another. Having an online presence helps overcome these issues without costly measures. I have been blessed with my accomplishments and I want to assist other artists with their success.
Art is a universal language that speaks to all. As we look through our history, we see images that are used to aid in our understanding of the past. Today we are writing our future. What do you want it to say about us? I want to make a difference in the lives of artists as well as a positive change in the world. The less fortunate may only have what has been given to them, which provokes me to think if I only had what I gave, would I have enough? Thus, my inspiration to give 10% of all entry fees from shows to worthy organizations.
