I am G.D Art by profession from Government School of Arts, Aurangabad (Maharashtra),India of 1978-79 batch. I started working and experimenting on this since college days, but professionally I started working on this from last 15 years. This special art of portrait called “Roasted wheat sticks” art has come up from using agricultural waste of “Wheat lids”. Usually wheat lids are not usable in any other manner when the grain is extracted. The lids are given accurate color and tone by a quick flame process. In this the individual lids are heated in the vicinity of direct flame to effect it into an expected shades . The lids are stick in layers by a special raisin resulting in Sepia effect
